Interesting changes

It is interesting how changes in a persons life can alter so many things. I spent 2 1/2 years of my life working on an AI mod. A mod that, when I started it, I never expected to grow into what it became. Now I have a job where I am on the inside and can affect change before the game even ships. It still boggles my mind, and it is still impacting my life in ways I never imagined.

Now that I am getting my programming fix at the office my hobby interest has taken strange turn. I have now become more interested in cooking and baking. It is definitely something I have always been interested in, but has taken a back seat to programming, until now. Funny how that works.

Work still continues on SupCom 2. It is amazing how much polish is going into the game. It is nice that we have some time for it. Even the effects are getting another iteraton. The game is looking really nice. I can't wait to see how it performs when my new video card gets here. I can't wait for this game to be released.

Tomorrow I transfer to a different project, so there won't be as much SupCom 2 news for me to post. Wish me luck.

Glad you're still living the dream. Sounds like SupCom2 is almost done. We'll look forward to release and the announcement of the new project. For now I'll give your AIX Rush another go on Canis.

Best of luck in your new project Sorian. I can't wait for Supreme Commander 2, to be on my computer and to play it. I am not sure how to have this give my GPG forum name, so I will place it below.

Hey good luck with your next project.
About SC2, I already preordered it, I simply couldn't wait and I had to do something.

Also, good luck with the bug fixing of your cooking and baking. :)

Cooking and baking is awesome and judging from the cake you made you really have a talent for it. Go Sorian!

Good luck with the new project, Guess that means Siege engine from now on if those old announcement about DS III is still true. Go and make the smartest monsters we have ever seen! :D

is there already a release-patch in progress, so that we will get a fix for some issues right on the first day? :P

Best of luck on your first start-to-finish project at work!

I know many of us have enjoyed having your view from the inside. It's been a real treat. Thanks for keeping us informed.
I really hope that SupCom2 is successful and that it gets opened up more for modding. I really want to try making a map with custom models. Keep putting a good word in for the modding community.

I trust your "polish" statement, and I hope your game will be a success. :)

Good luck for your new project Sorian, dying to play against your AI. By the way will you be involved in post release bug fixing ? How is it possible to enter a piece of code and correct it when you are involved on another project ?

You getting transferred to another project makes it seem like the game is really nearly done and (sort of) bugfree. I hope your next project will be just as fun and don't forget to take that cake out of the oven.

Might this "different project" be the one CT said he will announce on the 15th?

Makes total sense. Since I became a Systems Engineer, I don't want to do anything related to building PCs and such once off work.

Get a smoker, and learn the art of slow cooking ribs and pork.

Ah the Feburary 15th Blizzard main building raid >>

Im kinda sad you're getting moved off the game though Sorian ><

Sorian, how is it shifting projects? Did some of the team get some time off after the SupCom2 sprint to the finish?
